Team Building Edinburgh
One of our increasingly popular service is our cocktail masterclass team building event . We bring teams of employees together and teach them how to mix their favourite cocktails in our two cocktail masterclass sessions.
Last week we had the pleasure of hosting the Institute of Chartered Accountants at the Radisson Signature Hotel in Edinburgh. With a team of 28 strong, we took them on a journey into mixology.
Cocktail Reception
The team building activity starts with an amazing cocktail reception mixed up by your Shake That Bartending host. Your host will give you a demonstration of how the cocktail is made to start the session.
The welcome cocktail is one of our favourite cocktail creations: The Pear Mojito. An amazing mix of light rum, pear cognac, fresh lime, mint and vanilla syrup. For the non-alcoholic version, we replace the rum with pressed apple and the pear liqueur with pear puree.
Hands-on Cocktail Class
Once the guests were suitably refreshed after their Pear Mojito we cracked on with the interactive cocktail class. The cocktail class is hands-on meaning that guests create two cocktails from scratch under our guidance and teaching. The host takes guests through ingredient by ingredient, and stage by stage until they have a perfectly crafted cocktail to enjoy. During this part of the class, everyone will learn the principles of mixology, balancing drinks and presentation, which they will then apply in the final team challenge event.
Signature Cocktail Challenge
The final activity is the signature cocktail challenge. We split the group down into smaller teams to come together to create their own bespoke cocktail using the knowledge they have learnt so far in the class.
Everyone has a mixture of house spirits, house liqueurs, flavoured syrups, fresh juices and bitters available to them. Teams are given 20 minutes to create their team cocktail. They then must present it to the entire group stating its name, the inspiration and the ingredients before they are judged by the cocktail hosts.
Group Sizes
Our cocktail making team building sessions are ideally suited for groups between 15 and 150 people. For larger groups we may occasionally slightly alter the format but we will articulate this any stages when you make your enquiry.
